I (Louise) am the mother of six sons and the grandmother of two, up until now. Last year, 2001, my oldest son and his wife had a baby daughter. Now, after six sons and one grandson, I have a little baby girl in my life. Sewing has always been one of my passions and now that I can sew for a baby granddaughter, my creativity has really come to life. My contribution to the partnership is sewing and designing our baby blankets and baby bedding sets from the vintage cotton chenille and flannelette materials we search for and find. My baby blankets and baby bedding sets are all "one of a kind" items and color combinations, depending on the availability of the fabrics.

I (Joan) am the mother of four and grandmother of six. I handle everything else needing to be done for the success of the partnership. I'm the one who searches out and acquires the vintage chenille and deals with the administrative part of the business. I have spent many years working as an administrative assistant in charge of distribution and sales and promotions. Developing and administrating the new business, Gramma's Toys N' Treasures, which is located at www.toysntreasures.com , is both a refreshing and welcome change. I am finding the challenge exciting and fun.

We are both dedicated to producing the best and most unique vintage chenille baby blankets and baby bedding sets possible. When we became grandmothers, the need for lasting things that mean something and can be passed on to a future generation became of the utmost importance. A blanket made from material from our mothers or our grandmothers' generation was a logical choice to provide a bit of the past to pass on to the future.
