|
1. Memory Variation |
| Have the mom-to-be show the tray with approximately 20 baby related items on it around to all the guests. Then the mom-to-be leaves the room with the tray and instead of asking everyone what is on the tray, ask questions about the mom-to-be. Examples of questions include: What color was her top, was she wearing her rings, what type of shoes was she wearing, was she wearing eye shadow, how was her hair done, was she wearing lipstick, what jewelry was she wearing? Everyone was so busy looking at the tray, they did not even notice the mom-to-be! Great version of a classic shower game. |

2. Count The Jelly Beans |
| Fill a baby bottle with little jelly beans.Show the guests the baby bottle and have them guess how many beans are in the baby bottle. How about picking the mom's favorite small candy to use if you prefer. You could use Q-tips instead of candy in the guessing game if you wanted to. This is a low calorie version! |
|
3. Buy A Raffle Ticket |
| The baby shower guests buy raffle tickets for a door prize. About $1 per ticket is common. Each of the guests write down a service they can provide for the mom-to-be once the baby is here. Maybe someone could house clean or make a meal or babysit or run some errands based on his/her availability. The guest of honor pulls out the lucky tickets. Draw three tickets. The mom-to-be receives three services, the winners each receive a prize and the money is to start the baby's piggy bank. |

4. Fill In The Blank |
Give each person at the shower a printed list with 10 to 20 beginning words. They are to fill in the blank. If it matches your answer, give so many points for the correct response.
baby___________ (Eg. babybottle)
doll___________ (Eg. dollcradle)
crib___________ (Eg. cribskirt)
rocking________ (Eg. rockinghorse)
The one who has the most points is the winner.

5. How Much Does It Cost? |
The hostess purchases about 10 different baby items that are used everyday such as wipes, diaper rash cream, nail clippers, bibs, etc. The shower guests have to guess how much each item costs (not including tax). The person who comes the closest to the grand total of everything purchased wins a prize, and the mom-to-be keeps all the items.
Hint: Shop in a store where these items are reasonably priced ie a department store.

6. The Name Game |
| All the baby shower guests are asked to take letters from the mother's name and the father's name and create a name for the baby. The winner can be based on the funniest name, or whoever comes up with the most names. |
|
7. Door Prize Game |
| As guests arrive they are handed an envelope and asked to write their address on it. It is then put in a basket. One envelope is drawn, and the winning guest receives the door prize. Then the envelopes (already addressed) along with the thank you cards are given to the mother, making it very easy for her to send. |
